Dear Adobe, reader, US citizen, lend me your ears, not your years,
I bought Adobe as a serious investment. My camera and Adobe are the third biggest purchase of my life, behind one newish truck and one home. I did not dream I would be forced to continually fight to get to use it, but over years (I am SCI disabled, with CIAA Arachnoiditis, easy seeming practices entirely disable me, like researching for hours how to install and use Adobe CS5 on a new (and then a new, now another new) OS install or complete system repurchase or refurbish.
I beg the answer to one question. Is this supposed to not be working, am I supposed to click "Yes" to an unknown publisher installing an unknown program (but it does say Adobe .exe, that seems easy to lie about) each time I use any part of Adobe? Is it supposed to shut down the Big Bux paid for GPU acceleration, something about Mercury? Has this Adobe CS5 been altered so I invest (say) a week on another (first complete) production, then discover I have to pay Adobe for CC something or other?
It just seems heart wrenchingly bad to be hosed if I am. Actually, I know I am being partially hosed, the search results in Google plainly evade any site explaining whether I can (Currently) still use Adobe CS5. The entire Internet creaks under misc. BS plays to get people to (re)purchase what has already been bought- Match.com, AMD, Webroot, Xbox, Battlefield, all have cons that conceal and make a person think they have to pay for yet ANOTHER update to do the same thing.
I am sad.
Mike
