How do I cut/trim and Master Sequence with multiple Nested Sequences?

For all our TV series, we edit each of the 4 segments in a separate sequence. To assemble the entire show, we create a new sequence and add all the nested segments to that Master Sequence like below:

Segment 1 (Nested Sequence)

Commercial Spots

Segment 2 (Nested Sequence)

Commercial Spots

Segment 3 (Nested Sequence)

Commercial Spots

Segment 4 (Nested Sequence)

After the Master Sequence is assembled, it's typically 2-5 minutes too long and we need to cut it for time (28:30). I double click the nested sequences and start trimming content from each segment to reduce the duration of the nested sequence however, the Master Sequence remains the same duration. It does however add the strikeout hash marks to the nested sequences indicating that there is no longer media on that portion of the nested sequence.

Is there a feature/function someplace I can turn on that will reduce the duration of the nested sequences in the Master Sequence as I cut them? I'm strictly paying attention to the Master Sequence duration as I trim the Nested Sequences for time but it remains the same with the exception of the strikeout portions on the nested sequences. I'd like the Master Sequence to reduce its duration as well as I trim and reduce the Nested Sequences.

Thanks in advance.
