I have also tried tried PDDocSave(pdDoc, PDSaveIncremental, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL); with the fileSys as NULL but no different.

I am having a play with the AvDocSaveOptimised (there is no AvDocSave) and will let you know how I go.
