I have created package for the Creative Cloud client using the Creative Cloud Packager for Windows 7. When I try to install the CC client using the package I created, the installation takes about 15 minutes, which seems kind of odd for such a small application. During the installation process, at a certain point, I hear a Windows chime as if im shutting down or restarting and the icons on my desktop and taskbar disappears. I can still invoke Task manager and use other applications that were opened prior to starting the install of CC. When I manually do a restart through the task manager and log back in, the CC client is installed.
I have run the installation on 3 computers and 2 (2 laptops and a VM) are experiencing the same problem. The desktop icons and task bar are disappearing on 2 laptops. The CC client installed without a problem on my VM. I'd like to distribute the CC client through SCCM and I'd like to have this problem sorted out before deploying the client to other users.
After checking the applications event log, The MSI installation completed successfully, but the desktop and taskbar do not get restored. There is also an error for Restart Manager with the message "Application or service 'Windows Explorer' could not be restarted."
