Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't a clue what was going on yesterday. I ship a lot of big (> 500 meg, mostly) files around to collaborators. These are binary database files generated by the statistical program JMP. These files often have a logical relationship in several different directories. The easiest way I have found to handle them was to zip the entire directory with the sub-directories and send them via sendnow -- something I have been doing for at least a year and a half. Yesterday, for some reason sendnow refused to let me attach the zipped file? I don't know if it could be the browser??? I quit the browser and restarted but that did not fix the problem.
Incidentally, after numerous tries I have not been able to get Send to do the same operation. It always chugs along and after it apparent has finished sending the files says sorry it didn't work (or something equally inane) and tells me to "try again" -- also not a nice message when a client is waiting.
