Today I started setting up a new Windows 8.1 computer with new software last night, which included trial versions of Acrobat XI Pro and Photoshop Elements 12. All went well till I tried to install an old and apparently Windows 8.1 incompatible printer (and then uninstalled it), which caused a partial Win 8.1 "crash". I resorted to a system restore (point set prior to Adobe installation) and then re-loaded adobe downloader to re-install the trial Acrobat and Elements versions - it would not work and rolled-back part way through twice. I gather that I have to totally remove all Adobe system files from my new machine before I can successfully re-install the two trial versions (the system files are still there)? I am new to Win 8.1 and not sure how to do this - I do not want to corrupt Win 8.1 again and have to system restore again. systematic help with how to do this correctly and get the trial Adobe software installed and operational again would be most appreciated!
