The version is 12. Following Kglad's links I once again downloaded the trial version offered there. Then when prompted, I entered my serial number and finally was once again able to run the program. My happiness lasted three whole weeks this time before the program once again quit running this morning within a few seconds after starting. So once again I am forced to download the trial version and then convert it to the full version. I finished this a few minutes ago. This is the FOURTH TIME IN LESS THAN FOUR MONTHS that I've had to do this and it's extremely frustrating. First I have to un-install the existing program, and then download and then install the new one. The whole process takes well over an hour, and that doesn't include all the time I've wasted searching for solutions here and elsewhere on the internet. Can someone please offer me a PERMANENT solution to this ever recurring problem? Is it asking too much to expect a software product that I bought and paid for to run more than a month without having to reinstall the whole thing? And again I ask, what good is the disk that came with my initial installation when I can't use it to reinstall the program?
Adobe really needs to get on top of this problem. The time that I've spent (wasted) searching for answers to this problem has shown me that I am not alone with this complaint and that it's a common problem with Elements 12.
