Troubleshooting fillable form creation

I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro Version 10.1.10 ~ the fillable form that I created has several fillable boxes but once the client types information in those boxes there are extra spaces that don't need to be there  (between what they enter and the static info on the form).  I need to know how to remove those.
