I have for several weeks now been working on a project using MXF files. It's been a real pleasure up to a point. I have two main timelines with a handful of cross dissolves on them and I can't express the inconsistent rendering times for them. Sometimes it takes two seconds sometimes it takes 3 hours. I have tried and failed to get any support from Adobe itself. The problem has been so annoying I"m seriously considering returning to Final Cut. Mostly the support for the issue has been almost non-existent barring an email wondering if anyone randomly helped out. No.. is the answer. The solution did not fall from teh sky and it's actually still very present. Now I'm trying to find a work around. The conclusion of this is do not expect Adobe to actually pick up a phone and try and solve issues so perhaps FCP is looking good again. Shame.
