Which device you are using to test your content. Is it an Assisted GPS device (Like any 3g, LTE based device).
To check the location precisely, I suggest to use an Assisted GPS enabled device that will provide you exact location and acceleration. Where as the one like ipad 1,2,3 are non-assisted ones so they will rely on the Wi-Fi signals, in-directly will depend on the location of your access-point.
