Ha, hey Jeff thanks for the response! The faux bold wasn't the issue. I know this because it was a straw I was grasping at by clicking the icon on and off. I just happened to take the screen shot with it on. I saw this and debated doing the screen shot over, because I knew if it were me trying to help, that this would be my first suggestion as well.

 

The fact that the Roboto Black is showing as Regular even in the font preview shows that something odd is going on with the font itself.

 

Any other suggestions?

As Jeff mention, there is preflight in InDesign, as you know. This is great for many cases. That said, many also opt for the stand-alone option of FlightCheck. Like this book/advertising customer:

The point is with FlightCheck, is that it often goes deeper, especially with embedded elements within placed EPS, AI or PDF files.Watch: InDesign vs FlightCheck - Round 1 - Placed PDF Problems - YouTube

 

And it checks many file formats other than just InDesign.

It's not that I wish to use a "networked environment." I just want to launch Premiere on my workstation and work by myself on an individual project. However, I am working in a  company which stores all user Home Directories on network volumes, which is not at all unusual.

 

My problem appears to be that Premiere stores it's cache files on the local disk by default, even letting you change their location. However, it insists on storing some unknown preference files in an unknown location in your Home Directory. Then simply refuses to launch with a vague error if your home directory happens to be on a network drive. Plus the whole thing seems entirely undocumented anywhere.

 

I can get around this by unplugging the network cable, launching Premiere, and then plugging the network cable back it. But it would be better if Adobe fixed it so I could simply choose to store all files on my local drive rather than in my Home Directory.

 

P.S. The home directory is not locked and works fine with Adobe Captivate and Photoshop.

Hello Abambo,

 

I checked Photoshop CC 2019 and it's version 20.0.5. InDesign is version 14.02.324. And Illustrator is version 23.0.4. Also Acrobat DC appears to be up to date as well. I checked the Creative Cloud app and everything appears to be up to date.

 

This happened when I was using the Chrome browser running on mid 2010 iMac under High Sierra with 10 GB of RAM.

 

The pop up non genuine message should not be happening again if these CC apps are up to date. I have a screenshot in case you need to see it.

A half hour later and I'm having this problem again; photoshop has reverted to it's legacy scaling behavior. I believe I've figured out how to reproduce it. If I have a windows explorer open and I drag an object in, then I hit enter to place it, everything works fine. But if I forget to hit enter then try to drag another object in, I can't drag in the new object because the previous object has not been placed. So if I then hit enter to place the initial object, then drag the new object into photoshop, suddenly I'm reverted to the legacy scale behavior. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you use Roei Tzoref's solution choosing Color Matcher instead of Color Link will give you the same thing but you will have the ability to work in a high bit depth (32) comp without using the HDR Compander.

Rick Gerard it just occurred to me that "color matcher" is not a native Ae effect but a 3rd party plugin part of the Key Correct suite by Red giant so that's worth mentioning. of course the method you suggested with fill effect works fine for the purpose as well.

Same here.

 

We want to output the subject as meta data in a template, so looking for a way to do this in ACS.

 

<%= delivery.mailParameters.subject %>

doesn't work as you mentioned already

Error while compiling script 'FCP_1_DM875[htmldefaultContent]' line 533: delivery is not defined.

 

<%= context.subject %>

doesn't throw an error but is undefined

 

Do you know if there is already an enhancement Request? Do you have an ID to reference?

Re: epub export page orientation with tablets

Well, without being a coder I understand that epub is basically a html5 file and that some features of ePub consider page orientation. So it should be possible to take into account the alternate layouts of Indesign and add some coding or some export tagging.

As to the folio builder; why was this feature discontinued ? I came across this only after extensive reading through lots of help menus as Adobe help still gives advice on this CS6 feature and some tutorials still exist on youtube.

I know it has been a while, but do you know what filter in your LMS was being used that could have caused this issue?

I am currently having this exact problem with a course and looking for ideas.

 

Captivate 2019: 11.5.0.476

Chrome 76.0.3809.87; and IE11

HTML publish only

Self-Paced Learning OFF

Never Send Resume Data OFF

Works in the SCORM cloud.

Have other courses published from same Captivate/pc, loaded to same LMS that are working with no issues, same settings as above.

Tried publishing from different user PC (same Captivate version), same result.

SumTotal LMS 2015.1

and not to mention that there's plenty of newer model iPads that aren't Pro models that will be capable of using the app and the Apple Pencil that you can purchase for just over $400 (if you buy the pencil as well)

Output modules disappeared overnight

All of my custom output modules have disappeared overnight.  I am on 16.0.1 build 48.  To my knowledge nothing has been updated overnight on my workstation.  Are they saved in a folder I can relink to?

 

macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Mac Pro

3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5

64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3

thank you for the detailed solution kglad

 

but i not gonna sacrifice two days of my life to make up for a programming error of adobe.

(uninstall, install, setting up all apps again ...)

 

the problem is know to adobe for 4 years, there must be another solution.

it's just a missing library.

Hello lovekeshgarg,

 

is it possible to select a folder that checks in real time if new files were added into a chosen desktop folder and then automatically transfers the file to a searchable image file? We would like to automatize that process and don`t want to do it manually. What would be a solution?

Another option would be to add a Color Fill layer, and apply a gradient and Color Halftone to it layer mask:

    

You'd have to then invert the mask so that the dots will be the color, rather than white.
