Dear all,
I am struggling with Publish Online feature regarding the single page/spread format
When I publish online, I set the format as 'spread' and it displays just fine as 'spread' format when viewing online.
However, when I try downloading it as PDF, it will automatically convert the format as a single page display.
I tried many configurations but it would not fix the problem.
Much appreciated if you guys can help me on this!

I keep running into this every time I access these Community forums once every few months. That is, infrequently enough to forget the completely unintuitive UI design of this forums -
How do I see the full list of discussions!? Not just the finite "recent" list, quick links, top issues etc. that are on the Overview pages. Those are all dead ends.
I always look for a "See All" type of link, right near the Recent Discussions section. It screams out to have something like that there. All there is a More button, and it loads a few more, and that's it. No more, no all...
I imagine they think the Find Answers search is the be-all-end all of AI-fueled navigation, so no need for such archaic ideas as a simple list.
Oh, it's the tiny, single, "Content" link up in one of the 2 or 3 headers... (or maybe not. That link in this Forums Help forum is a dead end of sticky posts.)
And in the Lightroom Classic forum, the Content link is camouflaged in the header filmstrip graphics.
Please, in something called a "Forum", please show or lead to the basic forum front and foremost. Then add all the extra stuff around that, not instead of that.
Image 1 background is slightly grainy.
Image 2 is also grainy. My next comment is not about artifacts but also important for approval. Remove the star from the shoe and the writing from the blouse.
Image 3 is also slightly grainy with some colors noise.

Please try once to run the cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and reboot the Mac.
Then install the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from here Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

With an alpha channel saved in your base image, you could Select > Load Selection, with Source | Document being the base image, and Channel being the saved alpha. The base image has to be open for this to work, and the other docs have to be the exact same pixel dimensions as the base.

My guess is that this image was rejected before for one of the following: noise, artifacts, lighting or exposure, and you resubmit it. That will earn you a non-compliant rejection. Once you resubmit a rejected image without making the suggested correction(s) it will be rejected for non-compliant.

Yes the pictures are made in a controlled environment, exposure, light is all the same. The object only changes in the middle. You can think of it like you make a timelapse of an analog clock. And I want the background around the clock gone. So I made the path around the "clock" because it will never change.
A path and as selection are different things. You can save a section as an alpha channel and you cans convert a path to a selection and you can add a saved selection to the active selection. Path have modes one mat ba add and onem may be subtract they can be the inverse of the other. Perhaps this will help you.
I am having reports of the same issue in my organization. We are using Adobe Pro 2015 Version: 15.6.30499.341880 with Windows version 1703.
Workers are marking the document for redaction, applying the redaction marks, removing the hidden information, then Save the document. After the document is saved, the pages turn white and all that is left are the redaction marks.
Are there any answers from Adobe on this issue????
Organizing Your Photos by Peter Krough is a good source for drilling down into managing your images with Lightroom. The concept applies to succeeding versions of Lightroom. So, although this book was initially written for Lightroom 5, it is relevant today.
Regarding your desire to restrict images to a single collection, perhaps a collection is not the way to go, but to create another folder and move subject images to that folder. i.e. utilize folders not collections.
It's working as expected for me. Do you possibly have your Pen tool set to a mode where it draws an "inverted" path?

In addition to the halo around the structure there is also color noise on the gate (green or cyan, purple, yellow).

John, I've just realised that your solution puts all images into thumbnails. Is there some way of selecting which ones you want as a thumbnail or is it all or nothing?
I have an image that I have put links on, so want full size but when I publish, it automatically turns it into a thumbnail and then the links don't work. So I don't want this as a thumbnail but there are other images I do.
If I remove thumbnails and publish, the links on the graphic are set as an Auto-sized popup - show as expected in the preview but don't publish as a pop-up. Is this because I'm trying to publish as HTML5?

As you have mentioned above, on applying redaction marks the text on the PDF disappears.
Could you please provide more details about the issue?
- Did you start experiencing this issue recently after updating the application?
- Is it an issue that occurs with all the PDFs?
- Do all the users at your organization experience this behavior?
- Would it be possible to share any sample document? we would like to check it on our end.

Those are set under the cq:dialog
so anything you set under that dialog is save with that name.
